2009 Grant Awards

    Grants to Applicants – these grants were selected by the Grants committee to fund projects that followed FCCF’s guidelines as well as fit the criteria established by the donor when the fund was created. 

·         Franklin County Humane Society – 5^th and 6^th grade student educational program for spay/neuter vouchers - $500 (General Community Grants Endowment)

·         Franklin County Public Library District – publishing costs for Fairfield history book - $1000 (Bath State Bank Unrestricted Endowment)

·          Imagination Library of Franklin County  – Imagination Library Lilly matching grant - $1000 (Danny Fox Memorial Endowment, Cpt. Charles Fox USAF Memorial Endowment, General Community Grants Endowment)

·          Whitewater Canal State Historic Site  – kits for science outreach program - $300 (General Community Grants Endowment)

·          Special Olympics of Franklin County – support of two athletes - $500 (General Community Grants Endowment)

Designated Annual Grants – these grants were made from pass-through contributions to endowment funds that were established to support a specific purpose.  The recipients did not have to apply for these grants.

·         Franklin County 4-H Association - Support of 4-H - $230 (Franklin County 4-H Association Endowment)

·         FCHS Athletic Department - Women’s Athletic Program and Men’s

Baseball Program - $500 (Carl & Marjorie Hinesley Memorial Athletic Endowment)

·         Franklin County Public Library District - Artwork in Libraries - $430  (Franklin County Public Library District Art Endowment)

·         Holy Guardian Angels Catholic Church – church or cemetery maintenance - $200 (Holy Guardian Angels Catholic Church Endowment)

·          Town of Brookville - Brookville Town Park or Heap Memorial

  Swimming Pool - $200 (Danny Fox Memorial Endowment)

Special Assistance Grants – these grants were made from endowment funds that were established by the donor to support a specific purpose.  They are awarded from a request for assistance application.

·         Two families dealing with the loss of a dependent children - $3275 (Olivia Rebecca Waggoner Memorial Endowment)

·          A young adult for expenses for hearing aids - $500 (Lorraine & Frank Misasi Children’s Medical Fund)
